The Ultimate Blog Post

While blogging has only reached prominence in the last few years, it was actually invented by the ancient Romans who built a majestic blog in 200 BC from marble, granite and links they stole from the Greeks.

"Blog" itself is short for "weblog," which is short for "we blog because we weren't very popular in high school and we're trying to gain respect and admiration without actually having to be around people."

Creating your own blog is about as easy as creating your own urine, and you're about as likely to find someone else interested in it. One popular technique for building readership is to send e-mail to more well-trafficked blogs offering to exchange links with them. One popular response from those blogs is to laugh derisively and hit the Delete button.

Another approach for advertising your blog is to mention it as much as possible in conversation; you'd be surprised how many people are fascinated to hear you have a blog and want to know more, especially if you were expecting the number to be greater than zero.

However, there are many popular blogs already in existence, and if you want people to think you're cool, you're probably better off claiming you were a "guest blogger" for one of them. Your average blog has so many guest bloggers and such a crappy search feature that nobody will ever be able to prove you wrong.

As a handy guide for crafting your horrible lies, here's a list of some of the already popular blogs out there. (I'm omitting the blogs at Wired, because, hey, I have to work with these people.) Along with each blog's name, I've provided what would be the ultimate perfect blog entry for that particular blog. I'm tired of the word "blog" now.

Blogs and their ultimate perfect entry:

Boing Boing: Crocheted replica of subway map cracks DRM on collection of old video games.

FARK: Drunk frat boy in Florida has sex with underage donkey, sues Strong Bad for negligence. Still no cure for overused in-jokes.

Slashdot: AMD, SCO patent MP3 over TCP/IP, sue ATI, EA. Microsoft probably responsible somehow.

Kottke: Elwin Festerator is the unsung inventor of the curly telephone cord. "I looked at a straight telephone cord, and I asked myself, Elwin, why can't that be curly? So I went out and got my brand-new curling gun, and I curled the hell out of it." Related link: New Yorker article on the Olympic curling team.

Engadget: Samsung releases new cell phone/mp3 player/camera/web browser/GPS/game player/wireless hub. Now in gray!

Joystiq: Will Wright to design first-person Warcraft shooter for the Wii. Jack Thompson responds with aneurysm.

Groklaw: Transcript of SCO deposition on previous court order concerning applicability of evidence to last year's motion to review earlier statements. Seriously, we love this stuff.

Daily Kos: Bush caught in three-way with Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh.

Little Green Footballs: Bush enjoys triumphant three-way with Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh.

Gawker: Paris Hilton does pretty much anything.

Cute Overload: A kitten licks a puppy while the puppy licks a bunny.

Fleshbot: Same as Cute Overload, only with coeds.

MacRumors: Apple is going to sue us for revealing that Apple is going to sue us.

MAKE blog: How to create a nuclear accelerator using a Flash drive, a Commodore 64 and a guy named Roger.

Metafilter: Unhelpful link text. Extra links added for padding that have little to do with the main topic of the entry. Are extremely loaded rhetorical questions the only thing that can save us now?

Digg: Hey, cool, someone wrote an article about Digg!

Totoong Version Daw ng Twilight (pinoy version)

*grabbed from ate ina

Twilight ( Kanto Version )

tay".

pagkarating niyang school tsong, may nakita siyang lalaking mukhang bangkay

Isipin mo

The Parable of the PC

In those days there were three computers, endowed equally by their makers with processing power, memory and addressable storage.

But Satan corrupted each operating system with the sly installation of spyware, browser hijackers and security holes until there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

The Maker, in His mercy, sent down His Holy Spirit to the despairing computers. The Holy Spirit appeared to each in the form of System Update to close the security holes and shore up the despairing software. It asked the question of each PC: Do you want to run System Update? and offering a checkbox saying "Always trust" the Maker.

The first PC, fearing yet another infection, quickly closed the update window. Within hours, the spyware already on it called out to legions of viruses and malware until the system shut down completely.

The second PC accepted the update, but was too frightened to check the "always trust" box. It sighed with relief as the Holy Spirit cleaned its systems and saved it from the worst of the demons. And it walked away with a false sense of security that it would be protected from future onslaughts. Within the month, spyware and malware crept back into the second PC and, before it could cry out to the Maker, it, too, crashed.

The third PC gratefully accepted the update and, in a leap of faith, checked the "always trust" box. Like the second PC, it received the merciful update from its Maker and began to feel much better. And then, as days and weeks went by, the Maker sent the Holy Spirit unbidden to shore up the PC's systems -- even when the PC was unaware it was being attacked.

Before long, the third PC was becoming famous among all its brethren for having the fewest problems, for working the fastest and for never seeming to worry when others crashed around it.

To those who asked, the third PC had only this advice: "Always trust the Maker."

A view on myself

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You are not looking merely for a girl/boyfriend - you are looking for your life partner. Perhaps you should be more open-minded about who you spend time with. The person you are looking for might hide their charm under their exterior.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:

You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Your views on education

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:

You have many goals and want to achieve as much as you can. The jobs you enjoy are those that let you burn off your considerable excess energy.

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

10 things I love about you

I love the way you trust me enough to spoil me. You have the softest heart, I worry sometimes that I'll trample you in a fit of selfishness.

I love your patience. Even when I can see you're frustrated, you persevere because you treasure me... like I'm some princess or precious jewel. You make me believe I'm worth fighting for.

I love your intensity. You make yourself so vulnerable when you announce what you believe. I want that strength, not to slip into the background, stay in the safe harbour- but rather go out, guns blazing.

I love your apparent contradictions, your complexity. I love that there's so much I don't understand about you. I love that we're so different.

I love the way you transform into a Godly priest when you preach. It's such a testimony to me of the Holy Spirit's power. It's like God moulds you as you speak, guiding you and inspiring you. I learn so much from you about our Creator.

I love the way you love your mom, protecting her and encouraging her. My mom always told me to watch out for that cos it's a test of how a man will treat his wife. It's true.

I love how you refuse to accept defeat. Someone will tell you can't do something and you'll do it anyway. You risk embarassment and pretty much always prove them wrong. And when you fail, you laugh and pick yourself up, ready for the next challenge.

I love to see you cry. Not when I've hurt you or you feel disillusioned but when you're so appreciative or overcome by God's grace in your life that it spills from your eyes. You breathe in life and sigh in deep understanding of what you've been blessed with. Not many people can do that.

I love your road rage. I know you'd never hurt anyone but I love your righteous indignation at stop street violators or those who skip the line at 4-ways. You turn into a traffic officer, determined to let the offender know they should drive more safely. I can so see you as a gunslinging sheriff. You were born into the wrong era! You should have been a cowboy.

I love your humility in learning new things. I love to see your eyes light up when you hear a new idea that really makes sense to you. I love your passionate conversation in your efforts to learn more.

Passion

Passion is an internal resolve to follow your vision even when things don't seem rosy. Passion is the inner push that gives you
the strength to carry on even when you feel like quitting. People who have made meaningful contribution to life have been able to do so because they refused to give up even in the face of opposition, disappointment, and discouragement. They stuck to their guns, and today are being rewarded for it.

Ask any accomplished footballer. They will tell you that their passion for the game (and not just money alone) makes them train hard week after week, continue playing even after serious career
threatening injuries. Passion makes the best out of every situation. Passion doesn't care about what people say.

As long as you are on the path of your life's purpose, passion is an added tool that will make you accomplish your vision. Passion goes the extra mile. Passion says YES in the midst of NO. When surrounded by negatives, passion only sees the positive.

Conflicts, oppositions, attacks, setbacks, or even failure never deters passion. Passion persists to the end. If you are going to be successful in life, then you've got to be bitten by the bug of passion. It is a much-needed sting in the prosecution of your destiny.

Friend, will you embrace passion or sit down and wallow in self-pity? Passion is all you need to make that required breakthrough.

Personal Profile

You are the sort of person that needs a peaceful environment. You seek release from stress and freedom from conflicts and disagreements, of which you seem to have had more than your fair share. But you are taking pains to control the situation by proceeding cautiously and you are right in doing so as you are a very sensitive person.

Now there are many things in life that you require as essential to your well-being but, try as you may, something always seems to be getting in your way. A word of advice - 'keep trying' and you may be pleasantly surprised to see just how matters turn out.

You wear your heart on your sleeve and since you are an emotional person you are apt to give your all - heart and soul - to all those that show you a little affection; but take care - it would appear that you have been extremely hurt in the past and you keep leaving yourself wide open for punishment.

Recent disappointment has led you to become truly introverted. You are becoming suspicious of everybody and consequently you now feel that you are unable to trust anybody. Unfortunately it would appear that you are curbing your natural enthusiasm and imaginative nature - perhaps this is because you are fearful that you may become over enthused and find that you could possibly be carried away by wishful thinking. You are keeping your distance to see whether attitudes towards you are sincere - but this watchfulness could easily develop into suspicion and distrust.

You are inclined to be too trusting and you feel that you need to be on your guard against the possibility that your endeavours and actions may be misunderstood. Too often you have been taken advantage of and you have been mentally abused. Now you are seeking a relationship which can provide peace of mind, where you can be yourself and not have the need to put on a false front.

Prayer Forgive Me Father

For the times I took Your Name
in vain. For the lies which erupted
from my lips along with impatience
with family and friends. For the many
indiscretions along the road of life and
times I did not trust Your Word.
For the fear held upon my chest
and intolerance for those not quite
up to my artificial standards. And
yet I know how much You love
me in spite of my shortcomings. The
forgiveness You shine upon my soul
is more than enlightenment. Thank You
Father. Thank You Father. Thank You.

An Analysis of Friendship

A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24, NKJV)

"Some people come into your life for a lifetime. Some come for a season."

"I put everybody who comes into my life into the category of a tree."

God will show you, who your true friends are. Many times when your back is against the wall, you realise the people who have always been there, like a silent partner. And sometimes new ones will be sent in line with that prayer you prayed. They'll emerge to calm the storm and they will help you to get back on track.

So don't allow past hurt, bitterness, envy, jealousy, pride or any other of your sinful nature empower you. Your empowerment should come from Christ via the Holy Spirit who feeds you with the 'fruit of the Spirit'. With the fruit of the Spirit operating in and through you, you will see everyone who God places in your life through the eyes of Christ.

Friendship is a gift from God to each of us. Value your friends. Help them to get back on track when they slip up. Be happy for them when things are going great for them, even if your world is turning upside down. Pray for and with them. It is not possible to dislike someone you pray for. When you go to God in prayer for a friend it means you are developing a closer relationship with God. And you cannot go to God in spirit and in truth if you have hatred in your heart.

But most of all go develop your friendship. Friendship needs maintaining for it to develop to a higher level. Don't run at the first sign of disagreement. It's a relationship and you are getting to know each other. Whenever you have a problem with a friend talk to that friend about the problem, don't sweep it under the carpet or run to God. God is not the one you have the problem with to be running to Him, complaining about your friend. The bible tells us to confront the one who wronged us [Luke 17:3-5].

It is evident therefore, that there can be a variety of friends in ones life, at any one time. Some you may refer to as leaves, others branches and also friends like roots. So today, I would like to encourage you to see your friends for who they are, don't try to make leaves into branches, or branches into roots. God designed a tree the way He desired and likewise our circle of friends are in our lives for specific reasons. Find out what you have to offer and take from the friendship what you are meant to receive. When it's time for someone to move on, 'let 'em go', with your blessings; always being mindful of the bigger picture; God's plan for your life. And through it all, know that God is still in control.

The leaves, the branches and the roots all have their purpose in our lives. So we need to be thankful for everyone that comes into our lives, whether they become seasonal or lifetime friends. So let us be a light that shines into the lives of others; knowing that whether their influence are positive or negative, they serve a purpose and there is a lesson for us to learn that will help us to move to the next chapter of our lives.

ATTEND UPON THE LORD WITHOUT DISTRACTION (See I Corinthians 7:35)

why should the work cease whilst I leave it and come down to you? (See Nehemiah 6:3)

I must be about my Father's business? (See Luke 2:49)

The Lord bids us, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" (1 Peter 5:8)

The book of Nehemiah relates how Nehemiah committed to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem. He secured the aid of others, and they proceeded to be about God's business. The rebuilding project had at least two core foes, Sanballat, and Tobiah. They used various means in their demand to halt the development, and progress of the plan. They laughed at, and mocked Nehemiah, and his men. Lies were told, schemes were hatched, death threats were made, letters were written, lures were
attempted - all this they did in their rabid efforts to stop God's work.

What valuable lessons to be learned from the story of Nehemiah. Unquestionably, he gives an impressive example of attending unto the Lord without distraction. Nehemiah's soul was anchored on what God had commissioned him to do. Though the conflict was fierce, it was no match for the faithful servant of God who relied on sovereign assistance to ace the destined assignment. Nehemiah, the man of God, purposed to dismiss any obstruction opposed to the divine mission. He defeated all that was arranged against it.

What counts as so remarkable in this biblical book is the righteous perseverance of Nehemiah. He sought God's help steadfastly, and continually through supplicant prayer. He refused to allow himself to become distracted, or kept from the completion of the task. Every time the resistance came against the work, Nehemiah had an answer, a strategy, a method to overcome the plans of the enemies. He and his
people would not be deterred. They tenaciously clung to God, and the wall was rebuilt. Wise communion with the Lord enabled them to conquer through natural labor, and the skillful use of spiritual warfare.

The evil sources sought to annihilate instead our Lord rendered to them a crushing defeat. Again, God supplied proof that "I am the Lord." (See Leviticus 19:12)

UNYIELDING HONOR

Weakness invites moral plight, war and aggression
Encouraged by mistrust, misjudgment and delay.
All we love can be destroyed and transformed
By the powers of darkness maneuvering our way.

When something wicked stares us in the face
To corrupt our morals, faith and resolve.
God gives us courage to defend what's right
No matter the sacrifice or danger involved.

Evil seeks to destroy the good in man
And silence the memory of God's law.
It's up to the faithful to stay unyielding
Defending the liberty and justice of all.

Our men and woman who serve in harm's way
Are the armor of what the free world depends on.
Without their sacrifice of body and soul
All that we stand for is gone.

Honor, morality, faith and integrity
Are the glue which holds society in place.
Pornography, hate, jealousy and greed
Cause man to be plagued by disgrace.

Night and day we're informed by headlines
Which seem to give evil added time.
Always at war killing one another
In our world full of violence and crime.

Be thankful for the upright among us
Who desire to obey God's laws.
Repentant when wrong they change their ways
Serving the rest of us despite our flaws.

Honor, morality, faith and integrity
Are what life's heroes are made of.
Defending what's right; confronting what's wrong
Propelled by achievement, and love.

Whom Will You Trust?

By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. —Ephesians 2:8

Ayn Rand, an American philosopher who died in 1982, gathered a sizable following who read her books and attended her lectures. An avid individualist, she had this to say: “Now I see the free face of god and I raise this god over all the earth, this god who men have sought since men came into being, the god who will grant them joy and peace and pride. This god, this one word, I.” When asked if she believed in God, she answered, “This god is myself, I.” Egotism—faith in oneself—that’s what this philosopher believed in.

The apostle Paul bore witness to a trust that is exactly the opposite of that misplaced self-confidence. He declared, “[We] worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh” (Phil. 3:3). He put his trust solely in Jesus Christ, who is God incarnate, the true God of love and mercy.

We read in the book of Ephesians, “By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” (2:8).

Are we embracing the philosophy of egotism, which is really a confidence that will prove eternally self-destructive? Or have we, like Paul, embraced the self-sacrificing grace of Jesus Christ? — Vernon C. Grounds

By grace now I’m saved—Hallelujah!
Praise God, and through faith it’s been done;
Naught of myself, but believing
In the finished work of His Son. —Gladwin

We are saved not by what we do but by trusting what Christ has done.

Too Many Titles ... Not Enough Leaders

What makes you a leader?
Is it your gift to teach, your gift to preach or the charismatic way that you present yourself?
Maybe it's your flashy business card, your awesome website or the fact that your videos have been seen on the internet so many times.
Is this what makes a true leader?
No, what makes a true leader is the heart to serve. Not serve oneself, but serve others.
I find that in my daily Christian walk, I've encountered more titles than leaders, this is a very sad statement.
Too many leaders are walking around with visions of grandeur and their heads in the clouds.
Meanwhile, forgetting the very people that they are supposed to be serving on this earth.
Being a true leader is not about networking, looking good or self promotion.
It's about servanthood.
When you read The Word, you will not find anywhere that Jesus needed to promote Himself or have others serve Him, hand and foot.
Instead if you read John chapter 13 verses 1-17 you will find the opposite.

Verses 14-15 read:
And if your Lord and teacher has washed your feet, you should do the same for each other.
I have set the example, and you should do for each other exactly what I have done for you.

Here we see Jesus showing us an example of what leadership is really all about. So my question is why are so many people still walking around in the church, hurting,
broken hearted and in need of deliverance. The answer is because the very people that need to minister to them, are in need of deliverance themselves.
When the title becomes more important than the calling, the time has come to repent.

As leaders we need to examine ourselves daily and make sure our hearts and motives are pure. If not, we need to go back to basics, and realize that leadership is a calling and a privilege. We also need to keep in mind who called us, and what the calling
is really all about.

The Heart of a Servant

The greatest of all people on the Earth are those that serve.
These are the ones who get God's attention; the ones that he really observes.

Although Jesus is the Master of all, he desires to be known as the servant of all.
He made no reputation of himself to be big; he had no problem being small.

Jesus Christ is the Holy example that we must choose to follow.
He leads us to produce life's good fruits not those that are hard to swallow.

The world tells us to do the opposite to be great.
By choosing to be a servant, you are making a mistake.

God reveals in his word that humility is the path to promotion.
Self- exaltation is fruitless: it's like the ruins of a great ship in the ocean.

For the element it used to sail on top, was overtaken by the same element that took it down.
But God's servants are prepared to overcome circumstances, which cause others to drown.

For God is the Master Potter, the heart of a servant is what he uses.
When he finds this heart he rejoices but the prideful heart he refuses.

Choose today to be a delight to Our Heavenly Father serving him with pleasure.
By giving him a servant's heart, he promises to fill you with life's greatest treasures.

Prayer: Lord give me a servant's heart with no limits. Free me from pride and selfishness so that I can have a true servant's heart like Christ. In Jesus name, Amen

This is what I get....

Last night was pretty terrible. Our defense didn't turn out very nice, as in it's very messy and so. deads na deads!! hahaha :))
I thought somehow some or a part of what we did was sufficing but I guess I'm wrong. At least everyone does the same. I don't know for the groups who did it right.
I work hard on this defense, but maybe I have to work real hard, 'harder' (highlighted) so that we could impress sir oli.
I think one group did impress him, it's kian's group I guess. As what I read from franz's blog. I dunno bout val's group. anyways congratulations to them.
For the rest goodluck, for those defended already, it's okay, just try the very best next time. There's still that big chance. I know it, right! hehe :D
Maybe this is what I get. This is what I get for not reading the bible for a week, for not praying at all times this week but to pray whenever needed or whenever I remember, for not paying attention to worships and mass and more. Maybe this is what I get from not doing my responsibilities as a christian, as a roman catholic, for that one week. Am I losing my faith and got busy for other stuff, e.g. academics? Or simply I forgot my faith, or my faith had faded away for that week, or is it still fading away. I don't know. Will I ever find a way to turn back time?
Maybe this is a lesson for me, a punishment I guess or maybe just a warning I hope.
I feel pretty ashamed of myself. It felt terrible. I'm so pathetic.
This morning, as the bus where I am passed through gil puyat station, 2 men just sat beside me, I am so preoccupied that time and don't evern bother to look at them. I noticed the man beside me coughing so badly that it sucks because he's not covering his mouth and so. And that his cough is not natural, that he's just playing and when he coughs he jumps off the chair. I mean he stands a little whenever he coughs.
Suddenly, while the man is coughing, I noticed a hand in my pocket or something wierd is trying to pull a thing in my pocket and for sure it's a hand. I dunno if it's the hand of the man beside me or the man beside the man beside me. hahahaha :))
I did not think twice but I just stay put and did nothing. What's bad about that, I wasn't praying at all, I didn't pray for the incident. I even noticed that incident but I didn't know they were after my mobile phone; Well of course what else could they get from my pocket except my mobile phone. There. I really didn't complain or anything because I'm scared. They might stab me at my back. Or if ever I shouted or complained about it, maybe after getting out of the bus, they might also ran after me because the bus was near lasalle by that time. Too bad. Real bad. Well I am not after the phone, I'm after the content of the phone, the contents and all that. It's what concerns me that most. Well of course the phone is important because it's a gift for me in my graduation. Anyways, what's done is done and I hope I could turn back time but I can't. I'll just have to pray for it, pray for what happened and pray for them, to those snatchers. May God enlighten their minds and hearts to never do such things again.
Nevertheless they can't change the simcard of the phone because I put an application that only my simcard will be accepted with a code also. Double security. Even if they format the phone it won't also work. Becuase I tried formatting the phone and even removed the application but it's still there. Even formatting the system won't also work. Too bad for them. But the only thing they can do is disassemble the phone, chopped it into pieces then sell the small pieces. There. hahaha :))
I guess this is what I get... Too bad!!!

A True Winner

A true winner cannot be defined by a worldly definition.
They are not measured on the results of any worldly competition.

His victory cannot be measured by worldly calculations.
He is a true winner if he applies God's word in every situation.

A True winner is not based on what you do but on who you are.
Jesus Christ is a True winner He shines brighter than any other person by far.

Those who are followers of Jesus Christ are true winners too.
They may not appear as winners outwardly but inwardly they do.

Their obedience to God's Word always leads them to promotion.
They esteem God's word above man's -They follow God's instructions.

True winners may be hidden now but in God's timing they will be revealed
True winners know that the rewards that God promises are always sealed.

Strive to be a true winner believe God's word and obey.
All true winners will hear,"well done..." by God on that special day.

im a red panther (got from andrew)

You are Red Panther, and unlike your smart outlooks, you talk slowly.
You are amiable, cheerful and open-hearted person.
But you can be shy when meeting new people, and find it difficult to make conversation with someone who you have met for the first time.
Unexpectedly from your smart looks, you possess great power inside.
You would put in great effort to go ahead of the times, and be successful.
You sometimes can have no sense of reality, and when this tune in with your looks, it brings out emotional sensitivity and sharp artistic sense within you.
Because you tend to lack perseverance and endurance, you may easily give up work that you had started.
Although you look as though you can make up your mind quickly, in reality, you tend to ponder a lot.
You can not make decisions or act with confidence.
But you can reflect back at your weakness and tries to over come that.
This attitude gets you the trust and affinity of the people around you.
You don't lose hope, and tries to progress.
But you can be easily affected by your mood, and therefore should try to be consistent with your achievements.

A simple 'I Believe'

I believe in You Lord Jesus
I believe You are the Son of God
I believe You were sent by the Father to save me
I believe You paid the price for my sins
I believe You did it because You loved me enough, not to let me perish
I believe He sent You for the same reason

I believe You are the only mediator between God and man
I believe no matter how far I have walked away from You, I can still turn back to You
I believe no matter how low I have fallen, I can still rise up and return to You
I believe You can change my life around
I believe You can strengthen me and make me whole
I believe You can give me a new life and make me holy

I believe there is only One God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
I believe You are the Alpha and the Omega
I believe You are the Word of God and the Bread of life
I believe You are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords
I believe You are the answer to every problem
I believe You are also the solution amen

"Come Holy Spirit, please touch each and every heart that will come across this message. Open our hearts to Your Word and Your Truth and let us walk in total abandonment to You. Bless us all and keep us from the snares of the enemy. Glory be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit now and forevermore.

Good News: Court Rules in Favor of After-School Bible Clubs

A federal court ruled Monday that a Christian club can hold after-school Bible studies at Virginia public schools, following a lawsuit by Liberty Counsel.

The court said the Williamsburg-James City County school board engaged in discrimination when it charged Child Evangelism Fellowship a fee to hold its Good News Club on campus, while allowing Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other organizations to meet for free.

"Every public school ought to have a Good News Club," said Mathew Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel. "The kids love them, parents appreciate them and the First Amendment protects them.

"Of all places, Good News Clubs should have been welcome in Williamsburg and James City — the birthplaces of American liberty. Now, they are welcome."

Truly Alone

Switching from excruciating pain, to gasping for life, the water breather quickly sucks oxygen, and you are born into being------- alone.

Life's Dreadful adventures follow.
Now it's they didn't ask me to go along,
who needs them anyhow.
They didn't pick me, who want to play anyway.
They didn't call, who cares -----alone again

Life offers " loneliness" in a roomful of people

Work fills time; competition exacerbates becoming a Team player. Togetherness is a concept in futility.
Solomon's response to life ..... all is vanity!

Being Single has a built-in consequence ----dilemma alone

Being, Married where two become one (truthfully) -----still alone.

One's old Vintage tests family unity in the rocking chair alone.

Death knocks and although watched by others. --- stepped into alone.

Thought to Ponder
From beginning to end the obvious is our clue, without Him we are -----left alone.

Eternal Christ (Hebrews 13:1-16)

In the late summer and early fall of 2005, the evil twin sisters, Katrina and Rita, brought life as we knew it along the Gulf Coast to a sudden end. Thanks to the quick generosity and tireless efforts of Christians from around the country, we in Louisiana have rebounded significantly from the devastation wrought by those hurricanes. But when asked if things are back to normal, we describe our situation now as the “new normal.” While our lives have returned to a semblance of normalcy, we have been forever changed and will never again know “normal” as it once was.

Our hymnbooks now fall open to the old Mosie Lister song, “’Til the Storm Passes By.” In an earthly pilgrimage in which the only thing that seems constant is change, we are continuously comforted that an eternal and unchanging God will keep us “safe ’til the storm passes by.” Of course, we understand storm is a metaphor for the tempest created in our lives by sin.

A STAND-ALONE TRUTH
As the book of Hebrews moves to a conclusion, the writer—having exalted Christ as the supremely sufficient Savior of lost mankind—makes a significant statement: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). That verse is one of the great stand-alone passages of Scripture, one of those texts that can easily be plucked from its context to become the foundation of a biblically solid sermon or lesson on the eternal, unchanging nature of Christ.

This doctrine is so important that it is a recurring theme in the book of Hebrews. We see it in the opening verses of the epistle where Jesus is described as the creator and sustainer of the universe (Hebrews 1:2, 3). Later, the writer declares that since the priesthood of Christ is permanent, “He is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them” (Hebrews 7:25). He “offered for all time one sacrifice for sins” (Hebrews 10:12), and “will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him” (Hebrews 9:28). The eternal God who created Heaven and earth stepped into time and space to sacrifice himself in atonement for the sins of man, and he lives to return so that salvation can be brought to its ultimate fulfillment.

Simply put, salvation is possible because “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

THE TEACHING IN CONTEXT
Hebrews 13:8 is a powerful statement by itself, but it also expresses an empowering reality when its context is considered. That verse is sandwiched within a list of exhortations to believers, and it may seem completely out of place to the casual reader. But every theological statement or discussion in Scripture is intended to result in some practical, down-to-earth, rubber-meets-the-road expression as that truth impacts the life of a believer. All the theological truths discussed in Hebrews have established the superiority and sufficiency of Christ as our Savior, and now the writer wants us to know the practical effect that unwavering faith in an eternal and unchanging Christ will have in our lives.

• The faith of your leaders. To understand the impact of Hebrews 13:8 in its immediate context, begin in verse 7 with the exhortation to imitate the faith of your spiritual leaders.

Most of us have been blessed to know men and women of God who positively influenced our lives. What sets them apart as worthy of imitation? According to this passage, the people whose faith we should imitate are those who consistently proclaim and live the truth of the gospel to the end of their days, demonstrating that they are led by the unchanging Christ.

Now, if we truly believe Jesus Christ is eternal and unchanging, and if we imitate spiritual leaders and their same conviction, the truth of verse 8 will branch in every direction and will impact every area of our lives.

• Lives changed. Beginning with Hebrews 13:1, brotherly love stands out as a hallmark of a life controlled by an eternal Christ, especially expressing itself in hospitality to fellow Christians and sympathy for those being persecuted. Marital fidelity and moral purity (v. 4) are other important effects, especially in a world where those virtues are increasingly scarce. According to verses 5 and 6, belief in an unchanging Christ is key to living a contented life; such a life is achieved when materialism is overcome by putting our complete trust in God’s promise to care for us.

• Hold firmly to grace. Beginning with verse 9, readers are encouraged to hold firmly to the doctrine of grace when being courted by false doctrine; standing firm is made possible by faith in a Savior who does not change. In this section, the contrast is between the vanity of pursuing righteousness through ritualism and legalism versus having our hearts and minds transformed and our lives energized by trusting in the unchanging grace of God.

• Exalt the Lord in worship. Worship that continually exalts the Lord is, according to verse 15, fostered by faith in the eternality of Christ, as is service to others in verse 16. One final effect of that conviction is the willingness and ability to be submissive to authorities.

EMPOWERED AND DIRECTED
Since “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever,” there is no area of our lives he will not impact. The exhortations based on this doctrine of an eternal Christ touch our private lives, marriages, church relationships, nonchurch associations, vocations, citizenship, and, most importantly, our eternal relationship with God.

The physical and spiritual storms of life will come. Survival depends on unwavering trust in an eternal and unchanging Lord. But only occasionally is life about surviving storms; it is more often a matter of daily living. For the Christian, that daily life is also empowered and directed by a living Savior who is constant and unchanging.

I'm Sorry (part 2)

Relationship

We have broken our relationship with our God. Our selfishness, our disobedience, our anger towards Him and our rebellion against His Word have built insurmountable walls between us. We have built these walls; yet God still loves us; they need to be taken down.

He wants to be part of our lives so much, yet we constantly turn Him away. His desire is for us to come back to Him. He wants to restore our relationship with Him; as it was in the beginning. He desires to give us a much better, more fulfilled life than we have at present; but we need to come to Him and say we are sorry, to restore things, as Bill did. It is that simple; but not possible by our own efforts! ‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope’ (Jeremiah 29:11 NASB).

What does God offer us?

He offers a wonderful plan for our life; He offers hope; He extends His love and forgiveness; He offers a future; He offers healing. He offers all this for now, today and forever! He offers the good news that we can be reconciled with Him through His Son, Lord Jesus Christ.

‘For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes’ (Rom. 1:16).

How did God do this?

He gave His only Son, Jesus, to die for us. ( John 3:16) so that we will be released from the power that evil has over us and be free to return to God. The result of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us is that we are washed and cleansed of all this evil; and being clean and set free, we can come back to God. Our part in this is to accept and believe in Jesus, as the Son of God and invite Him into our life as our Lord and Saviour, in effect to come before Him and say we are sorry, receive His forgiveness and in His power turn away from the things in our life that caused this separation in the first place.

‘The law of Moses could not save us, because of our sinful nature. But God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent His own Son in a human body like ours, except that ours are sinful. God destroyed sin’s control over us by giving His Son as a sacrifice for our sins’ (Rom. 8:3).

What does that verse mean? Simply that the Ten Commandments and God’s laws and commands in the Old Testament were given only as a guide to how we should be living our lives. These laws can never make us right with God, they can never forgive us for our selfishness and disobedience to God. God knew this but He had an ultimate plan, which began with Abraham, and these laws were put in place waiting for the final act of love when God, in His Son, Jesus, would Himself come to earth and die for us, destroying the power of evil by His resurrection and enabling us to come back to Him.

‘God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son [Jesus]. He who has the Son [Jesus] has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life’ ( 1 John 5: 11,12 NASB [my paraphrase] ).

What did Jesus do?

He died for us, making it possible for this to happen. Should we reject all the good things He is offering? We can search and do all the ‘good works’ we can find to do. Donate thousands of pounds to charity, participate in all the ‘good causes’; but without Christ, they will only ever be just that: good works. They benefit our self and others; but not our soul. They can never be a way back to God, although subconsciously we may seek that. The desire in our hearts to do good works, whether we believe in God or not, is a revelation to us from God. It is to be applauded and encouraged. Yet it does not make us right with God.

Bruce Milne, in his book ‘Know the Truth’ explained this awareness of doing good as a revelation from God about Himself which is in the heart of every single person who has ever lived. We all know the difference between good and evil.

‘Biblical references confirm that God has revealed Himself to all in the conflicts of our moral experience. God has not left Himself without testimony - we all have some awareness that the sense of obligation to do good and to spurn evil reflects the will of an ultimate Lord to whom we are finally responsible. Everyone is confronted by God [at some point in their lives] and therefore carries responsibility for the lack of a true relationship to Him’ - ( Know the Truth, Bruce Milne. Inter Varsity Press: Ch 2 [my explanation] ).

‘They demonstrate that God’s law is written within them, for their own consciences either accuse them or tell them they are doing what is right’ (Rom. 2:15).

Why did Jesus die for us?

The answer is simply this: so that we can be reconciled to God and receive His wonderful plan for our life. His sacrifice to death opened the way for us to come back to God. God loves us so much that He died for us; because that was the only way He could restore our relationship with Him. We cannot do it. He did it for us. It is His gift to us. We can accept this truth, or reject it; it is our choice. Does it matter? Yes, more than anything else in your life.

‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me’ (John 14:6 NASB).

How is Jesus the way back?

If you desire to restore your friendship with God, you need to seek Jesus and receive God’s forgiveness through Him. In faith you must accept Him in your heart as the Son of God and say you are sorry for the things you have done that you know are not of God and then pledge to turn away from them. Through Jesus your relationship with God will be restored, everything will be forgiven by God through Jesus Christ. You will receive a new life, an eternal life. Your past, no matter what it has been will be forgiven by God and forgotten by God.

‘Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ’ (2 Cor. 5: 176,18 NASB).

Your guilt will be removed. God already knows everything about you anyway - so what can you hide from Him? We all instinctively know how we have wronged God, we might deny it; but we know it.

‘But God shows His [wrath] from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts - so they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God’ (Rom. 1:19,20).

‘For we are each responsible for our own conduct’ (Gal. 6:5).

Does Jesus matter?

This answer is really up to you. I can only give you the truth from Scripture, you must decide the action to take. It is because of our actions that we break our relationship with God. He is grieved at this breakdown.

‘It broke His heart’ (Gen. 3:6).

You can change that though, right now; by coming to Jesus; remembering the things you have done wrong, saying you are sorry and asking Him to help you and become part of your life. God has offered His hand to you through His Son, Jesus. He died so that you can come back to Him.

Why did God do all this?

Because He loves us. Eventually Jesus will return to the earth, this time to judge everyone. The earth, the world we live in, will pass way. All that we treasure in our lives today: our possessions, money, home, career, will be gone. There will be a new heaven and a new earth.

‘Behold, I am making all things new’ (Rev. 21:5 NASB).

This is the hope God gives us: a new wonderful plan for our lives now and for our future. This is why it is important that why we must seek Him now before that day. In the days of Noah everyone was ignoring what God had said through him until the flood came and it was too late. So today we can continue to ignore and reject God’s message through Jesus; and one day it will be too late. Gods wants none to be lost but all to be saved. He is patient and we may think that the message is gone and finished; but it is not. God has set a day for the return of His Son.

‘The Lord isn’t really being slow about His promise to return, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to perish, so He is giving more time for everyone to repent. But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise’ (2 Peter 3:9).

‘For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, they were marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so shall the coming of the Son of Man be’ (Matthew 24:37-39 NASB).

‘..so also Christ died only once as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again but not to deal with our sins again. This time He will bring salvation to all those who are eagerly waiting for Him’ (Heb. 9:28).

Jesus has made it possible. You are invited to come to Jesus, receive His forgiveness, say you are sorry; or reject Him.

I just noticed an advertisement in a mail shot I received today. It said, ‘When life takes a wrong turn who can you trust to protect you?’ There is only one answer. Trust Jesus. He has promised to help you; and He is more than able to. He is not a fairy story. He is truth.

‘Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved’ (Rom. 10:13).

I'm Sorry (part 1)

Bill shut the door, walked down the pathway to his car and knew it was going to be a bad day. The alarm had not gone off; the toast had burnt; the papers had not arrived; and he was late. What else could happen? He hated these days: the ones that started out of ‘sync’. The ones were he felt it would be better to go back to bed and start over again.

Surprisingly, the traffic was okay, he had expected to be cursing and swearing all the way to work, at the slow drivers, the inconsiderate drivers, those who just seemed to get in the way. There was none of that though; it was a peaceful journey; and he felt that maybe, just maybe, things were going to get back in order.

At the office things did not improve. They got worse! During the course of the morning everything seemed to build up against him: more orders came in, making things become unmanageable; the incessant telephone calls broke his concentration; the constant interruptions, as people kept asked things of him. He fought to keep in control, to get things back in order; but knew he was losing the battle. Then finally, his secretary came into the office, with yet another problem that needed solving, immediately!

Why did he think it was her fault? Why did he decide to put all the blame on her for the burdens he was carrying? Why did he blame her because HIS morning had started off badly? He did though. She stood in the doorway holding a handful of papers and all his pent up fustration was unloaded upon her. She reeled under his barrage of unwarranted abuse. Tears welled up inside her. She wanted to help, but knew it was impossible. She placed the papers on the table and walked out, quietly closing the door.

Bill sat alone at his desk. His emotions subsiding. Strangely he felt better now. He had unloaded all his frustration. Got rid of it, on someone else; someone who had not deserved it. He felt guilty. His thoughts now turned to her. Now she was carrying his pain, his sadness. What could he do. He walked out the office to get a coffee, passing her desk on the way to the machine. He glanced at her, she wasn’t looking, her head was down. He could sense the tension between them, something had changed, something had broken. All of a sudden they were not a team anymore, not friends, not colleagues; they were strangers. Yesterday they had been good friends, working well together, as a team. Now something was lost. He sensed the silence and the coldness as he walked back into his office.

He tried to work, but he couldn’t; something was wrong. The door opened and his secretary walked in. Placed some papers on the table with a yellow stick-it note on top, turned without saying anything; and walked back out.

Towards the end of the morning things had not improved. The atmosphere grew more tense. He knew he must do something; it was his fault. Going for another coffee could be a chance to try and set things straight, he thought; though he did not know how. Thoughts raced through his mind. Even if he tried to speak to her, he expected her to reject his initiative. Anyway what could he say to her? What reasons could he give? Could anything he say be of any use now? As he filled his cup from the machine he turned to look at her, she was working, not paying any attention to him. He turned to go back into the office; but he knew he could not pass her desk without saying anything. He must make the first move. He must humble himself. With great effort he stopped and walked around the side of her desk. She looked up at him; not in any intimate way, just in the way a secretary looks at her boss, waiting for his instruction. ‘I’m sorry,’ he said, ‘I should not have said that to you, it’s not your fault, it’s mine.’

The ice was broken, they sat and talked about what had happened. The working relationship was restored, they were friends again. As he walked back into his office, he was warmed by the ease with which she had forgiven him. There was no animosity from her; just forgiveness. He felt something powerful in this, something he had not known before; most people would have held a grudge. He shut the door. What he didn’t notice though was his secretary quietly praying for him.

Gone Astray

Once we know Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, He will never leave us or forsake us - this is His promise. Life as a Christian is not always easy and many times we will lose the plot and go astray - some more than others. Once we know the truth, the path is laid before us that we can walk on - we may not always see it, but it is there! Yet we can miss the path and get drawn into the things which are not of the Lord; temptations come and we chose to walk the world’s way and not the Lord’s. At times like this we can feel as though there is no way back; we have sinned against God and have blown it!

Sheep gone astray

Jesus talked about this in the Gospel of Matthew:

‘What do you think? If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go and search for the one that is straying? If it turns out that he finds it, truly I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray’ (Mt.18: 12-14).

Promise

The promise to those who come to accept and follow Jesus is:

‘My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand’ (John 10:29 NASB).

Restoration

Do not be condemned, return to the Lord and He will forgive you and restore you, you are never lost - repent - seek the Lord; all sins can be forgiven.

‘Turn me again to you and restore me, for you alone are the LORD my God’ (Jeremiah 31:18).

‘I assure you that any sin can be forgiven, including blasphemy’ (Mark 3:28).

Decision to believe!

When will you make a decision to believe and follow Jesus Christ? When you have indisputable proof? When you see the holes in His hands? When you know for sure? When will you respond to your heart and your conscience? When will you accept Him as your friend and helper? When will you let Him love you? When will you open your heart and respond to His message?

Rich Man & Lazarus

Jesus told a story ( Luke 16: 19-31) about a rich man; he died and went to hell because of his sins. While he had lived on earth in luxury, he had ignored a beggar called Lazarus who sat daily at his gate waiting for help from him. Both of them died; Lazarus was taken up into heaven, while the rich man went to hell. The rich man was in torment and saw Lazarus sat with Abraham in paradise while he was suffering, full of sorrow and regretting how he had lived his life.

The rich man realised that he could have obeyed God’s word - now it was too late! He asked for mercy, he cried out;

‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in anguish in these flames’ (Luke 16:24).

Abraham then reminded him of how he had lived for himself during his time on earth, rejected the Word of God; and so was now reaping the consequences of his selfishness. Also a great chasm separated them both and nobody from either side could cross it.

The rich man then asked Abraham to send Lazarus back to his family;

‘I want him to warn them about this place of torment so they won’t have to come here when they die’ (Luke 16:28).

Abraham told the rich man,

“‘Moses and the prophets have warned them [already]. Your brothers can read their writings anytime they want to.’ The rich man replied, ‘No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will turn from their sins.’ But Abraham said, ’If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t listen even if someone rises from the dead’” (Luke 16:27-31) [My Paraphrase].

What is Jesus saying?

What is Jesus saying here? We need to place this messsage in today’s context. The message of Jesus: the gospel, has already been told; the work of Jesus is complete; there is no more. Jesus has won our salvation. He will return and we will all be judged on whether we have accepted Him or rejected Him in our life ( Matthew 25: 31-46).

Rejection

The rich man realised too late that what he had rejected all his life was in fact the truth. In the same way that we can reject the gospel: the message of Jesus and go about our daily lives in selfishness, putting ourselves first, pushing Jesus aside and carrying on living without Him in our lives. We can dismiss the gospel as rubbish, an old story that bears no relevance today. We can reject it because we wish to continue living the way we are and in our pride not humble ourselves to turn to Jesus.

Eternity

In telling the story of the rich man Jesus is making us aware of our selfishness and that how we live today will have consequences which will affect us for eternity. The rich man was in torment - he had accepted his eternal fate - he knew he could not change it and in remorse he did not want his family to suffer the same fate as him. He wanted them to believe in Jesus before it was too late. He could not cross the chasm to warn them. Jesus does not want the same fate for us, He loves us too much, but it is our choice.

The Gospel of Jesus

Jesus says that the truth has been told through God’s Word, the message of salvation and forgiveness of our sins has already been accomplished by his death, but people refuse to believe this now. The rich man’s plea is that if someone was to return from the dead, they - his family - will turn from their sins. Jesus returned from the dead! Do you believe Him and turn from your sins? Or continue to reject Him and live for yourself; regarding His message and death as immaterial? Is even the message of someone dying for you and then returning from the dead, to give you the chance of being saved from the same fate as the rich man enough to make you turn to follow Jesus - is it?

As with the rich man, the message has been given, will it make you change your ways and turn to Jesus ? Have you believed this and acted upon it, or will you wait until it is too late and then cry out for mercy. The choice is yours - Jesus has already done everything, the rest is up to you. Your choice is now an act of faith. We cannot wait until we know for sure - we have to take that step. When we do know for sure, it will be too late! Jesus loves us - enough to die for us; and wants us to be stood with Him in paradise like Lazarus. Could he do anymore? Can you for Him? Is He not worthy of your love? He is waiting for you.

I'm not perfect!

People are not perfect; which is why the Lord God gave His only Son, to die for us, so that He could forgive us for the times when we get it all wrong. We try our best; but we mess up. God knows this and loves us and forgives us, through His Son, Jesus. We will never get it right; and in our struggle to ‘get it right’ beat ourselves up about not having reaching our targets, obtaining our ambitions, become the person we want to be; sometimes we fail to keep hold of the hopes that we desire.

Not our fault

It is not our fault. We were all made perfect in God’s image; but sin enters into our lives each day and messes things up for us. Even in our present state, ‘as we are still sinners’, God still loves us and desires for us seek Him. We do not have to be ‘good’ before we can talk to God! He accepts us just as we are.

‘But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners’ (Romans 5:8).

Forgiveness

His desire is to forgive us for all that we do and have done. Seek Him through His Son, Jesus. He will forgive you and in term we can forgive others as He forgives us.

‘There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them’ (Acts 4:12).

Power to forgive

He also asks us to forgive; and gives us the strength and power to put aside our pride and hurt; and reach out to those people in our life who need our forgiveness. Reach out to Jesus and He will bless you with His love and forgiveness and in turn you will reach out to those who need your forgiveness; and in turn accept forgiveness from those who need to forgive you. What God did for us: forgiving us, we will be able to do for others. His love will heal and restore us.

‘For You were killed, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation..’ (Rev. 5:9).

An unemployed graduate (JESUS LOVES US)

An unemployed graduate woke up one morning and checked his pocket. All he had left was $10. He decided to use it to buy food and then wait for death as he was too proud to go begging. He was frustrated as he could find no job, and nobody was ready to help him.
He bought food and as he sat down to eat, an old man and two little children came along and asked him to help them with food as they had not eaten for almost a week. He looked at them. They were so lean that he could see their bones coming out. Their eyes had gone into the socket.
With the last bit of compassion he had, he gave them the food. The old man and children prayed that God would bless and prosper him and then gave him a very old coin.

The young graduate said to them "you need the prayer more than I do".

With no money, no job, no food, the young graduate went under the bridge to rest and wait for death. As he was about to sleep, he saw an old newspaper on the ground. He picked it up, and suddenly he saw an advertisement for people with old coins to come to a certain address.
He decided to go there with the old coin the old man gave him. On getting to the place, he gave the proprietor the coin. The proprietor screamed, brought out a big book and showed the young graduate a photograph. This same old coin was worth 3 million dollars. The young graduate was overjoyed as the proprietor gave him a bank draft for 3 million dollars within an hour. He collected the Bank Draft and went in search of the old man and little children.
By the time he got to where he left them eating, they had gone. He asked the owner of the canteen if he knew them. He said no but they left a note for you. He quickly opened the note thinking it would lead him to find them.
This is what the note said: "You gave us your all and we have rewarded you back with the coin" Signed God the Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. 1 Kings 17:10-16; Matthew 11:28-30
Have you given all to Jesus Christ? If you haven't, do so today and he will surprise you.

Love of Jesus

Remember the time that you first fell in love with someone: a girlfriend, a boyfriend. Your every thought was about them, day and night. Your whole life revolved around pleasing them, living with them, being with them. You couldn’t bear to be apart from them. You even copied their emotions and ideals.

Putting Jesus first

You put them first in nearly everything; altering your life to revolve around theirs. You couldn’t live without them, wanting to be with them all the time. Especially so, if they lived hundreds or thousands of miles away! Your heart yearned for the time you would be together again.

Now, imagine this person is Jesus - get to know Him and love Him!

Perfect Love

Jesus offers you His perfect love. You can trust Him completely; He will never let you down or forsake you. He will return your love with His love; which is more than you can ever hope to love Him. He died for you, that is how much He loves you; doesn’t he deserve all you can give Him? Isn’t He worthy of all your love every day? Pray that He will allow you to feel His love and know it.

Scripture

PSALMS: 5: 3; 34: 1; 63: 6; 105: 4; 113: 3; 119: 62 ; 119: 147. 1 COR 10: 31; ROM 12: 1; COL 3: 23.

The blood of Jesus

Jesus' sacrifice, death and resurrection means that we now have a way of coming back to God; He has made it possible. Jesus is the gate through which we all must pass.
Jesus said: 'I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but through Me' (John 14:6 NASB). Jesus freely gave His life for us to give us this choice. There is nothing we can do to earn salvation; it a gift from God. Freely given to those who choose to believe in the truth about His Son, Lord Jesus Christ.
To those who believe in who Jesus is; who believe in their heart that Jesus is the Son of God; and also profess with their mouth that He is their Lord. Accept His forgiveness and turn away (repent) of the sin in their life and chose to follow Jesus as Lord in their lives. Then God has promised that He will come and live in a relationship with them for eternity. 'We will come to him and make our home in them' (John 14: 23; NASB). That eternity starts now, today, because if you choose to accept Jesus, then today is the day of your salvation. 'Behold now is the acceptable time, behold now is the day of salvation' (2 Corinthians 6: 2; NASB).

Does it matter to me ?

This is YOUR choice; no one else can decide for you. The truth of the message of the Gospel has been told. It is up to you, personally, to accept it or reject it. It is so easy; it is not difficult, it is in your heart, (Deuteronomy 30: 11-14 ); but YOU must choose.

'The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart so that you can obey it' (Deut. 30:14 NLT).

The Lord God gave us a free will, we are not robots. We have a choice, to love HIm as He loves us; or to turn away from Him.
But when Jesus returns and we are judged - as in the court room - we can never claim that God is unjust.
It is usually our pride and fear that stops us from choosing Jesus; but that is false because God is a loving God who cares for us as a perfect Father. We can trust Him absolutely; and He has promised to lead us and guide us along the best pathway for our lives (Psalm 32:8); if we let Him.
He is waiting for us to come to Him. He cannot do anymore than He has already done. He died for us. The rest is up to you.
