Everlasting...

I haven't blog a real blog since the past days, past weeks, past months. I have been caught up in a busy set as always when our second term takes over. It almost took over my whole life, but then again I have time for things I got to have time with. Time with my family, with my friends, with my bestfriend and most importantly with God. It sometimes came to a point where my temper since to dwindle and my mood swings, but still I try to control it and someone up and beside me helps me with that. I am not trying to live a life full of goodness. Try not to mess it up and make the most of it. Also not to speak bad words because I will be fined 10php for every word and horaaaay I made it to 220php. hehehe. Kidding! At least it was lessen. So there you go.

I have here and excerpt a lyric from a song I like most. Here it goes:

"Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
In my heart, in my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out"

Oh well, why do I like this song, except the fact that it has a good tune, a nice background sound,
is the fact that it's lyrics were nice and because it is all about our Heavenly Father. I love to hear
this music almost everyday, every bit of my life. Because every second of my life, I offer it to God.
I hope you that you also do the same, or if not, soon you'll do the same.
Let Jesus take over our life and offer everything to Him. Let us make Him the controller of our life
and love Him as always. Make the most of it. Let us not fail Him nor give Him things that are nasty.
But instead, let us praise Him and worship Him all the way. "For God so live the world that He gave
His only begotten Son, that who ever drinks from His blood and eat his flesh will not perish but will
have an eternal life." The promise of Jesus to the whole human race. So let us fulfill all His will and
never even try to be against it. For no matter how hard the Lord is trying to pull, or ordering you to do
so, do not hesitate or worry yourself a lot because it is for your own good.

You might be thinking that you are not worthy to be saved or even not worthy for the glory, mercy and
grace of the Lord. YOU ARE WRONG. He won't let you live if you weren't worthy of these things. But
He did and He's giving you a hard time because He loves you so much that He wants you to be strong
and never lose hope because that is what He wants. That whenever we need something, we just
have to call His name. But I am not saying that as times of our great despair. But in fact to always call
Him and communicate with Him with every second of your life and thank Him for all these things, either
good or bad, whatever angle you look through it, it doesn't matter because it's for the greater good.

God loves us so much and we should also do.
When almost everything/everyone turned their backs on you, when everything turned out to be the
other way around, when everything just keeps on going wrong, The Light of Jesus is there, always
ready to be our guiding star to enlighten us and to make us remember that there exists a God.
When everything is almost about power, mightiness, fame and so. When everyone just seems to
be competing and more. We should remember that there is only one God who has all the power,
and everything about. No one can ever compete with Jesus because He is the one and only GOD.

Let us love Him from the inside out!

Putting Jesus Christ first Brings JOY

Everybody has problems. Good people have problems. Bad people have problems. The difference is: in the midst of problems, do you have the joy of the Lord? In the book of Philippians, Paul shares with us his secret to a joyfull life and this is by putting Jesus Christ first in our life. Do we have people who rival, compete, challenge, oppose and fight us today? Paul had, believe it or not, rival preachers and fellow believers falsely accusing him. In Philippians 1:15-17 it says, “Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will; the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment.” They were jealous of Paul’s success and wanted to ruin his reputation to gain their own following. Others preached from good will or out of love. But in both cases they preached the gospel so they were not false preachers. How did Paul respond? Philippians 1:18,“What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice, yes, and I will rejoice.” The truth is a spiritually mature Christian holds no personal grudges or desire for credit or prestige. When people attacked Jesus personally and accused Him falsely, He remained silent and said nothing because He knew He was innocent. On the other hand, when people abused the house of God and misused people - Jesus spoke out against them in no uncertain terms. Jesus always did what He did because He loved God and He loved His people. He attacked evil and wrong head-on because it was destructive to those whom God loves but even in His correction, Jesus always acted out of pure motives and had no hidden agenda. Philippians 1:19-20 “For I know that this shall turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I shall not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ shall even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.”. Does the uncertainty of our future rob us of joy with worry, anxiety and fear? Paul was confident and hopeful of his uncertain future because it was anchored on two things. Paul’s hope was anchored on the reality of the power of prayer and limitless bounty of provisions from the Spirit of God. What we focus on is going to impact the way we think. If we want to be joyful, we’ve got to have right thinking. Attitude is a matter of deciding whether the cup is half full or half empty. Too often we look at life seeing only what we don’t have, rather than being thankful for what is ours. Sometimes we fail to realize that God wants to protect us. So we get angry and furious at God. Realizing that putting Christ first gives us confidence that He is sovereign and wants what is best for us even if we don’t see it now. We are nothing compared to God but like a telescope we can bring Him closer to people who do not know Him. As they see us respond to crisis in a joyful manner with hope and peace they will see Jesus magnified through our lives. Philippians 1:21, For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. For Paul, his life was centered on Christ, he lived for Christ; he served Christ; fulfilled the purpose of Christ; pleased Christ; everything was about Christ. That was how Paul saw the sum total of his life. We must change the definition of our life today. Christ cannot share first place with anything or anyone else. We are headed for disappointment if we can’t say, “I’m living for Jesus Christ! For me to live is Christ!” We must understand that all those other things we put first over Christ will surely disappoint us in the long run. Do we have the same attitude of confidence in death as the apostle Paul? We can, if we put our trust and faith in Jesus Christ and His promises. Those who know their time is near and have listened to some who have expressed an emotion of terror and fear in death while others anticipate their departure with joyous hope. Why? It is because one doesn’t have a relationship with Christ while the other has an intimate and personal relationship with Christ. Philippians 1:22-24“But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake. And convinced of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith, so that your proud confidence in me may abound in Christ Jesus through my coming to you again.” The word “depart” is a beautiful picture word for dying and leaving this world. In the Greek language it is used to describe soldiers taking down their tent, packing up and moving on to a new location. Paul put priority in staying on in this world to serve his fellow Christians. They were important. As his trial was coming up shortly, he was convinced that he would be released. After he was released, he served others in ministry for 2 to 3 more years before he was put in prison one last time until his final death. He spent his last years in compassionate service to others. That’s true love for the lost! Knowing he would be imprisoned again for proclaiming Christ to others didn’t stop him in his mission and purpose in life. Just like Paul, when we sacrificially give our lives to others they will spiritually grow in their joy and love of Christ. Philippians 1: 27-30 “Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ; so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; in no way alarmed by your opponents-- which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too, from God. For to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, experiencing the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.” What benefit will come out of the Christian community when they are suffering? Many times, God will allow our suffering to change our desire. Suffering has a way of opening our eyes to see the reality that we are not going to live in this world forever. In the same way, Paul lived so that the church would glorify Christ. He didn’t care if he was in chains, if he had critics, if his circumstance was in crisis, if he was put in a coffin; all he really cared about was that Christ was preached, the church was strengthened and that God’s name was glorified. We must see life through the eyes and heart of God. We must put Jesus Christ first and foremost in our life so we can honestly say: “For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.”

TO STATE MY CONCLUDING REMARKS!

This is just my own concluding statement, my own opinion and my own
stand. I will ask Paul Geronimo (ICTM REP) later to make his
statements also.

I would like to offer my greatest gratitude for each and everyone who
took part of these matter. The batch assembly, the batch 2t11 and
other people who are very active and shared thoughts with regards to
the issue. You are indeed proven as true Lasallians who really care
for the good of everyone not just yourself. And let us pe proud of
ourselves, for proving ourselves as the pride of the new generation.
Once again I thank you for everything that you have done, either in
words, thoughts or in actions.

Please accept my sincerest apologies on behalf of my batch and as part
of the batch assembly; For those people who have misunderstood some
things and for those people who were hurt and were shock of the things
that are happening. Please understand that each and everyone is just
stating their stand and opinions so let us not jump into conclusions
easily otherwise everything turn the other way around. Being
open-minded and understanding is one way to curb these arguments. So
please let us not argue like this again, once in for all, when
something goes wrong let us take it in a way that no one will get hurt
or arguments like these happen. Analyze the matter first before making
a move, or else we'll regret it.

We have all the means to do what is right, but let us not use actions,
words or thoughts that are inevitably incorrect and defy the human
laws and even God's will. All of us are given a chance to speak for
ourselves but let us not be selfish and be self-centered. Make a move
but try not to make it worse. We are considered as humans, high class
and think differently as compared to other creations. So we should
make use of these knowledge the Father have given us in a nice way and
to help each and everyone.

For those people who do not have the courage to stand and state his
opinions, please do not be afraid because we need the full compliance
of the batch whenever something like this occur. We cannot decide this
by ourselves or by just few people talking. But we should all do this
together. I know some people who did not take part on these
discussions (names will not be mentioned). So please next time try to
make use of your thoughts. Do not stay there and do nothing. What we
are doing, what each and everyone of us are doing contributes to the
goodness of our batch and for every individual in the batch; I know
that if we work real hard, that if we work together, nothing can stop
us, even our professors. And soon they'll realize that we are the best
batch, that we are the pride of CCS and DLSU. So I am not just talking
about ICTM 2t11 but also CATCH 2t11.

Let this be a lesson for us so that in the near future we won't be
having any complications at all. Maybe some may occur but none of
those will make us loose our hopes and determinations. Let us use this
matter as a tool for us to grow more as a comsci student, as true
Lasallian, and as a true person of the new generation. We have given
many chances, let us use it wisely and from there let us make the most
of it and prove them wrong.

I believe so that our batch really has a chronic illness but I will
not say any further statements with regards to those matter. I know it
myself, and you know it yourself, because you should know it,
otherwise, you're not aware nor concerned. It was explained to me by
our professor and I added some more. I believe so it was true and I am
one of the people who wants to prove them wrong, that although we are
named as the worst batch, we can curb this illness and try to convince
them that we are the best. I know we can, we just have to try and
one way of making this happen is to help each other not just
academically but on extra curricular. A team, a group of people with
the same goal is better than a person who works just for himself and
himself alone.

I am saying this things as one of your course representative, as a
Lasallian, as compsci student under CCS and as a fellow batchmate who
cares not for the good of myself, not for the good of my group but for
the excellence the batch can do. I am here as one of your course rep
so please do not say that I am not doing anything. In fact I and Paul
did everything we can to help you. So your failure, is not our failure
as your course reps. It just so happen that some of you failed to
comply with the things we are asking, with the issues we are saying
and with the announcements we have delivered to you. You should be
thankful that there exists an us. And yet you didn't make use of "us"
instead you took us for granted and this is what you get. Regrets are
always experienced in the end.

So there I have stated my stand, my opinion and my concluding words. I
would like to end this a scripture from the book of Matthew:
"Let it be this way for now, for this is the proper way for us to
fulfill all righteousness."
