I'm not perfect!

People are not perfect; which is why the Lord God gave His only Son, to die for us, so that He could forgive us for the times when we get it all wrong. We try our best; but we mess up. God knows this and loves us and forgives us, through His Son, Jesus. We will never get it right; and in our struggle to ‘get it right’ beat ourselves up about not having reaching our targets, obtaining our ambitions, become the person we want to be; sometimes we fail to keep hold of the hopes that we desire.

Not our fault

It is not our fault. We were all made perfect in God’s image; but sin enters into our lives each day and messes things up for us. Even in our present state, ‘as we are still sinners’, God still loves us and desires for us seek Him. We do not have to be ‘good’ before we can talk to God! He accepts us just as we are.

‘But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners’ (Romans 5:8).

Forgiveness

His desire is to forgive us for all that we do and have done. Seek Him through His Son, Jesus. He will forgive you and in term we can forgive others as He forgives us.

‘There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them’ (Acts 4:12).

Power to forgive

He also asks us to forgive; and gives us the strength and power to put aside our pride and hurt; and reach out to those people in our life who need our forgiveness. Reach out to Jesus and He will bless you with His love and forgiveness and in turn you will reach out to those who need your forgiveness; and in turn accept forgiveness from those who need to forgive you. What God did for us: forgiving us, we will be able to do for others. His love will heal and restore us.

‘For You were killed, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation..’ (Rev. 5:9).

An unemployed graduate (JESUS LOVES US)

An unemployed graduate woke up one morning and checked his pocket. All he had left was $10. He decided to use it to buy food and then wait for death as he was too proud to go begging. He was frustrated as he could find no job, and nobody was ready to help him.
He bought food and as he sat down to eat, an old man and two little children came along and asked him to help them with food as they had not eaten for almost a week. He looked at them. They were so lean that he could see their bones coming out. Their eyes had gone into the socket.
With the last bit of compassion he had, he gave them the food. The old man and children prayed that God would bless and prosper him and then gave him a very old coin.

The young graduate said to them "you need the prayer more than I do".

With no money, no job, no food, the young graduate went under the bridge to rest and wait for death. As he was about to sleep, he saw an old newspaper on the ground. He picked it up, and suddenly he saw an advertisement for people with old coins to come to a certain address.
He decided to go there with the old coin the old man gave him. On getting to the place, he gave the proprietor the coin. The proprietor screamed, brought out a big book and showed the young graduate a photograph. This same old coin was worth 3 million dollars. The young graduate was overjoyed as the proprietor gave him a bank draft for 3 million dollars within an hour. He collected the Bank Draft and went in search of the old man and little children.
By the time he got to where he left them eating, they had gone. He asked the owner of the canteen if he knew them. He said no but they left a note for you. He quickly opened the note thinking it would lead him to find them.
This is what the note said: "You gave us your all and we have rewarded you back with the coin" Signed God the Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. 1 Kings 17:10-16; Matthew 11:28-30
Have you given all to Jesus Christ? If you haven't, do so today and he will surprise you.

Love of Jesus

Remember the time that you first fell in love with someone: a girlfriend, a boyfriend. Your every thought was about them, day and night. Your whole life revolved around pleasing them, living with them, being with them. You couldn’t bear to be apart from them. You even copied their emotions and ideals.

Putting Jesus first

You put them first in nearly everything; altering your life to revolve around theirs. You couldn’t live without them, wanting to be with them all the time. Especially so, if they lived hundreds or thousands of miles away! Your heart yearned for the time you would be together again.

Now, imagine this person is Jesus - get to know Him and love Him!

Perfect Love

Jesus offers you His perfect love. You can trust Him completely; He will never let you down or forsake you. He will return your love with His love; which is more than you can ever hope to love Him. He died for you, that is how much He loves you; doesn’t he deserve all you can give Him? Isn’t He worthy of all your love every day? Pray that He will allow you to feel His love and know it.

Scripture

PSALMS: 5: 3; 34: 1; 63: 6; 105: 4; 113: 3; 119: 62 ; 119: 147. 1 COR 10: 31; ROM 12: 1; COL 3: 23.

The blood of Jesus

Jesus' sacrifice, death and resurrection means that we now have a way of coming back to God; He has made it possible. Jesus is the gate through which we all must pass.
Jesus said: 'I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but through Me' (John 14:6 NASB). Jesus freely gave His life for us to give us this choice. There is nothing we can do to earn salvation; it a gift from God. Freely given to those who choose to believe in the truth about His Son, Lord Jesus Christ.
To those who believe in who Jesus is; who believe in their heart that Jesus is the Son of God; and also profess with their mouth that He is their Lord. Accept His forgiveness and turn away (repent) of the sin in their life and chose to follow Jesus as Lord in their lives. Then God has promised that He will come and live in a relationship with them for eternity. 'We will come to him and make our home in them' (John 14: 23; NASB). That eternity starts now, today, because if you choose to accept Jesus, then today is the day of your salvation. 'Behold now is the acceptable time, behold now is the day of salvation' (2 Corinthians 6: 2; NASB).

Does it matter to me ?

This is YOUR choice; no one else can decide for you. The truth of the message of the Gospel has been told. It is up to you, personally, to accept it or reject it. It is so easy; it is not difficult, it is in your heart, (Deuteronomy 30: 11-14 ); but YOU must choose.

'The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart so that you can obey it' (Deut. 30:14 NLT).

The Lord God gave us a free will, we are not robots. We have a choice, to love HIm as He loves us; or to turn away from Him.
But when Jesus returns and we are judged - as in the court room - we can never claim that God is unjust.
It is usually our pride and fear that stops us from choosing Jesus; but that is false because God is a loving God who cares for us as a perfect Father. We can trust Him absolutely; and He has promised to lead us and guide us along the best pathway for our lives (Psalm 32:8); if we let Him.
He is waiting for us to come to Him. He cannot do anymore than He has already done. He died for us. The rest is up to you.

FIVE FINGER PRAYER

1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the
easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a "sweet duty."

2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes
teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right
direction. Keep them in your prayers.

3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in
business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion.
They need God's guidance.

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any
piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They
need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.

5. And lastly, our little finger - the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in
relation to God and others. As the Bible says, "The least shall be the greatest among you." Your pinkie
should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own
needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effective.

What Love!

The way has been opened. It is now possible for ALL to be forgiven for ALL their sins: past, present and future. No matter how dark and terrible they may be. Forgiveness of sins is for ALL. No one is beyond God's forgiveness through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. Christ's blood, His sacrifice and resurrection have made it possible for us ALL to come back to God. Jesus Christ has claimed victory over sin and death by His resurrection, satan is defeated. It is finished.
It is now possible to find peace and fullfillment in our lives. To be free from guilt, to start again, to receive a new life. But the most important thing above all this is that through our belief and decision to follow Jesus we will be saved from the wrath of God; the consequences of our sins.

Next is probably the most well known verse in the Bible; but read the following verse also! 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it ' (John 3:16,17 NLT). Jesus also said in John 12: 47; 'I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world' NASB. Just over 2,000 years ago Jesus lived amongst us, to save us; not to condemn us. He was; and still is, the light to guide us to God. He does not judge us, but seeks us, helps us, forgives us and releases us from guilt. He loves us.

So much of the message of Jesus today is told with condemnation, when it should be told with love: the message of how much He loves us. He turns none away who come to Him. Belief and faith professed in Jesus Christ is an eternal relationship with God.

But we must choose, we must make the decision. We must step towards Him. He is holding out His hand. There is no fence to sit on and watch it all happening, waiting. Jesus stands and knocks at our door, waiting for us to open it and invite Him in ( Revelation 3:20).

When Jesus does return it will be too late. The story has already been told, the truth given; there is no more to say. The Lord Jesus will return to judge the world and we will either go into eternity with Him or without Him. It is black and white: choose death or life!
Jesus said, about God, 'Your word is truth' (John 17:17 NASB). God's Word is truth, there is not another truth; no higher authority.
Jesus said: 'I have come as light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness' (John 12: 46 NASB).

Reaching Out

You are loved: how am I loved? You are loved immensely and unconditionally. Nobody could love you more! It is a perfect love. God's very nature is love, which means that He will always express perfect love towards you. He will always seek the very best for you. His commands are the best for you. You can trust Him and believe in Him through His Son, Jesus. No matter what your circumstances, His love for you never changes. His love forgives you for everything.

He does not want you to miss out on the very best for your life - or see your life wrecked. You may not feel that you need or even want Jesus in your life; but He still loves you and will always love you. He knows you. He cares for you. He died for you. Even though you may ignore or reject Him; He will always love you. Whatever you do or have done in your life, He loves you. He died for you because He loves you.

He wants to be with you in all your struggles and help you. He wants to be with you in all your decisions; so that they are the best decisions. He wants to help you in every part of your life and give you His strength. He wants to remove your guilt and help you carry your burdens. He just waits for you to ask Him to come; to heal, restore and help you. Will you ask? Just ask!

God's love for us

The extent of God's immense love for us is that He chose to save us from the just consequences of our sin. Throughout the Old Testament the way to atone ( be forgiven ) for our sin was to sacrifice animals. These had to be perfect animals, usually lambs, without blemish. But it was never enough and the sacrifices had to be repeated year after year. It was only a foretaste of what was to come.
God is holy and cannot change (Malachi 3:6). His very nature demands that sin be punished in the same way that should you go to court for a crime then you would expect to be punished, you could not get away with it. This is the situation that man is in. God's dilemma was that He so loves us so much that He does not want us to suffer; but He can not overlook our sin.
We can do absolutely nothing to clear away our sin and make ourselves acceptable to God. The concept of sin may sit uncomfortable with many people; but it is the truth and we need to accept it. It is true: that we can never be good enough to earn God's forgiveness; but the truth is, that we do not have to be. Christ's love earned our forgiveness for us.
Imagine for a moment a courtroom. The defendant is facing the judge; his crime was severe enough to warrant imprisonment. The judge is just about to pronounce sentence, when someone walks into the courtroom. The defendant watches as this man, who he had never met before, walks up to the judge, speaks with him and takes upon himself the punishment meant for the defendant. Now put yourself in the place of the defendant and instead of receiving your punishment you could walk freely out of the courtroom; forgiven. I expect that you would either be immensely grateful to that person, or you may think Him a fool. Either way, you are free and he has taken your place. You can go home to your family, rebuild your life; and if moved to, repent from the things in your life which you know are wrong and start again; free from all guilt.
This is exactly what our God did. He came to earth as His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to take the punishment for our sin. He willingly took His place on the cross, bled and died, just as the perfect lamb had been sacrificed in the Old Testament; except moreso in this case because this was a one time sacrifice and was complete.
The concept that Almighty God should come to earth; be born of a virgin - so that He had no sin; the perfect lamb without blemish; and then die for us is something that many people find difficult and it becomes a stumbling block for them. It was the only way that God could save us from death and bring us back into the fullness of life with Him - and he did it! Not because He had to but because He wanted to - He chose to die for us, because He loves us.
