IT's OVER :D
I never thought what I entered could be this hard and I have to sacrifice a lot of things para lang dito, pero I realize it's worth it pala; Na it nortured me and make me think of some things I never imagined I will be thinking of, being concerned of. I never thought I went this far though not as far as some other people had reached. But I believe I came to a realization, I came to a point were I myself can be proud of. Spiritually, nakakalimutan ko na yung mga duties ko as Christian, as a formdev faci minsan and nakaapekto to ng sobra sobra. I never fought back to a fire with fire, but with my principles and beliefs, that's what I can give you.
And I am here right now, typing, staring at my laptop, thinking, nervous and very anxious of the results. Kahapon pinaguusapan namin ni Raisa yung about dito. I told her na diba nung una sabi ko okay lang sa akin kahit matalo and so I mean it doesn't matter what the results will be, pinasok ko to eh, kelangan panagutan ko, kelangan panindigan ko. I told her na, mali pala yun ngayun. Narealize ko rin after kong sabihin yun, na kapag natalo ako ngayun, malulungkot ako, iiyak ako and so.
Laban ko to eh, laban natin tong lahat! (i won't mention names kasi baka may makalimutan ako)
Si kuya robert na talaga namang nakakatuwa ung mustache nya lalong lalo na when he shaved it. hehehe *peace*.
I have no more to add except none. hehehe. I am really feeling the coldness of my room, the intense coldness, at dumagdag pa yung kaba at anxiety na nararamdaman ko na lalong nagpalamig ng feelin ko. hehehe :D
Ang lahat ng mga ito, lahat lahat, I lift everything to GOD.

YES TO USG. YES TO REAL SOLUTIONS.
->The answer is NO. Three Points: First, there is no more VP Activities in the USG Structure. What we have is the VP Internals who will handle all activities under the USG. Second, you will see that CSO is NOT in the diagram. In the current structure, CSO is not even under the SC. The dotted line simply means that they are of the same level (i.e. CSO and SC should be coordinating to avoid redundancy in activities). Lastly, in the USg Constitution, it is started in Art. XXI Sec. 2 that "The CSO shall be an AUTONOMOUS body that may work closely in coordination, in the principle of synergy, with the Vice President for Internal Affairs."
FAQ No. 2: Why is it that the number of Vice Presidents in the Executive Board is reduced from 3 to 2?
-> There are only two Vice Presidents now so that our Executive Board will be more focused, efficient and effective. All activities to be implemented within DLSU-Manila will be handled by the VP Internals while all activities that involve organizations outside university (e.g. establisihing external alliances) will be handled by the VP-Externals.
FAQ No. 3: What is the Activities Assembly?
->The Activities Assembly (AA) shall be the policy-making arm concerning activities, projects and programs of the USG. Members of the AA plan university-wide student activities, projects and programs and assign departments or ad hoc committees for the implementation of such project.
FAQ No. 4: Why is there a need for a Judiciary body?
->Currently, the legislative body also acts as the judiciary of the SC. Instead of having the role of a law maker only, they are also the ones giving sanctions and judgements among the SC officers, including themselves. In order to remove this overlapping role, the judiciary body will be the one handling the cases for any USG officers.
FAQ No. 5: Why is there one Legislative Assembly Representative (LA Rep) instead of two? Does this mean less representation from the batch?
->Having one LA Rep does not mean less representation, nor having one more LA rep mean more representation (i.e. Should we have 3 LA Reps instead of 2?). The purpose of having one LA Rep is that your batch will only have one unified stand. If there are 2 LA Reps, there might be conflicting stands from the two LA Reps. Therefore, your batch does not have a clear stands on an issue.
The Truth Behind Priority Enrollment. (Original e-mails from Ms. Nicole Villarojo, SC President and Mr. Edwin Santiago, Registrar)
I am pretty sure a lot of Lasallians are confused as to what the truth behind the priority enrollment issue is. Well, currently, a few people are claiming that it's their achievement as an officer. I believe it's about time people know the truth.
The text below will reveal just that

Subject: RE: Inquiry regarding SC proposal
Dear Ms. Villarojo,
I am not sure what you mean by "recent," but I do not recall any pending proposal with the Enrollment Committee, where this matter belongs, nor directly to my office. There is neither a proposal pending before the VCAR Council (formerly the Council of Deans) which, several years back, decided on maintaining the status quo on priority enrollment, as being implemented.
It was mentioned in one of the meetings of the Enrollment Committee, perhaps, nearer the start of the School Year 2008-09, but it was not considered favorably.
Be that as it may, since there has been no substantive change in the considerations used at the time this scheme was decided to be retained, our position remains the same.
I hope this clarifies matters.
Thank you.

Subject: Inquiry regarding SC proposal
Dear Mr. Santiago,
Greetings!
I recall in my first year as an LA Representative, I sent a proposal to your kind office regarding priority enrollment; in particular, having the priority enrollment status re-conferred to a student who has earned at least a 2.5 in a subject he/she has previously failed. It was explained to me why the proposal could not be approved.
I would like to inquire regarding the status of a similar proposal which was recently given by a Student Council office regarding priority enrollment?
In St. La Salle,

Tapat sees elections campaigns as an opportunity to address the student population. It is one of the few times when we are allowed to go room to room to talk about what we want for our school. This is why we work hard to formulate a General Program of Action (a real program, not just a list of specific projects) that takes into consideration what the previous SC has done and contributes to a long-term vision of a better society through student empowerment.
A campaign is education.
During training sessions and meetings and overnight planning for candidates, we focus on building skills and planning their respective GPOAs. We reserve the speech writing for the last week, when our candidates are ready to face their potential constituents with their heads held high, sure of their capability to serve once elected. More importantly, we wait until we are sure that they have a master plan to execute once elected.
Perhaps it's the reason why we're accused of working "for our party alone." Our insistence on implementing a program of action that we disseminated to the voters during campaign, that we consulted them on even before the filing of candidacy. We take this seriously.
A campaign is a promise.
Our campaigns are meant to tell people what we feel should be the school's direction. It hopes to "sell" a plan to students, trusting them to be discerning enough to tell whether a party and a candidate can really bring the goods. Because that is what a political campaign should be: an opportunity to present ideas. Hardly trapo politics.
We welcome debate. We welcome criticism. We welcome any challenge to our proposed program, or to our political philosophy, and we will answer all questions. But we cannot dignify unsupported, cowardly ramblings posted on the internet. Campaigns are not about begging. They're not about whining. They're not about alleging that the other guy did something that made us sad.
Campaigns are about ideas.
Ideas that have been refined by generations of student leaders spending time and effort thinking about, and acting on, the problems that beset students. Lofty goals that have been translated into concrete steps: a real platform, not a laundry list of activities. We owe this to the leaders who preceded us, who sacrificed sweat and tears to get us where we are today. We owe this to the leaders who will follow us, making sure each step we make is a step forward.
Our campaign is our legacy.
Every year we run the risk of losing, yet we take that risk knowing deep inside that the campaign we ran is a clean one and as close to ideal as possible. Focusing on ideas, avoiding personal attacks, and treating voters as intelligent adults who will vote based on the ideas that we present. Trusting them to make what we believe is the right choice.
Our campaign is trust.
