Key Reforms
//Strengthen Lasallian Leadership to advocate social change and accountable governance.
A. Heighten accountability and transparency within the University
1. Heighten transparency in the acquisition, utilization and maintenance of laboratory and research equipment, software, journals, and other resources.
2. Push for transparency in university epenses and acquisitions through itemization of all fees paid by the students.
3. Propose amendments to the Officers Code of Conduct to incorporate stronger provisions on governance and ethics to encourage effectiveness and efficiency in the Student Council.
4. Maximize information channels, focus group discussions, and online file repository systems to ensure transparency to the student body.
B. Advocate political maturity through massive voter's education and youth involvement
1. incorporate the basic competencies of the different colleges to advocate for political maturity this coming National Elections through an intensified Boto Lasalyano Sulong Pilipino.
2. Utilize the Student Leadership Program in providing a series of modules on voters education to breed leaders for nation-building.
3. Collaborate with external sectors to strengthen initiatives for the power of YOUTH VOTE.
C. Reinforce student governance in the University
1. Ensure a clear, trusted, efficient and effective student governance system.
a. Re-evaluate policies & procedures within the Student Council to ensure optimal performance of the elected officers.
b. Maximize the Student Leadership Program as the human resource arm of the Student Council in order to develop a new breed of student leaders.
2. Incorporate the principles of participatory democracy, decentralization, collaboration, equitability, accountability, unity and cooperation and efficiency and efficacy in tghe delivery of Student Council programs through the University Student Government (USG).
a. Maximize the efficiency of the Executive Departments in the Activities Assembly..
b. Establish a Judiciary Arm to ensure accountability of Student Council officers.
c. Install Board of Auditors for transparency and accountability on the usage of Student Council funds.
//Heighten student initiatives to reinforce national development
A. Innovate the Executive Departments of the Activities Assembly.
1. Push for the streamlining of activities and programs of the Executive Board.
2. Provide clear guidelines for the implementation of roles and responsibility of each Executive Department.
3. Push for reforms in the Activities Manual.
4. Increase the efficiency of the Activity Approval and Monitoring process.
B. Institute sustainability in relevant, quality student programs and services
1. Push for an alternative job fair to feature cause-oriented, non-government and people's organizations.
2. Increase participation among the students in actualizing the Lasallian Mission Statement in preparation for the celebration of DLSU's centenary.
3. innovate existing student services offered by the Student Council.
4. Engage in a long-term social entrepreneurship program to increase funds for Student Services.
5. Develop more student loans catering for various student expenses such as research abd experimental expenses, sports fees, academic and cultural contests expenses, etc.
6. Lobby for increasedsupport for aspiring student organizations in the University.
C. Establish quality, pioneering and sustainable student-initiated community development programs.
1. Establish SC livelihood programs to adopt a community and teach self-reliance through a small scale enterprise.
2. Empower communities by enhancing local, technological and technical skills for sustainable development projects.
3. Utilize core competencies of each college to establish sustainable community development programs.
D. Reinforce Lasallians' responsibility towards the environment.
1. Assess the feasibility of the adoption of Green buildings and other stipulations of the approved Greener La salle Resolution.
2. Establish an Environmental Desk through the Advocacy department to provide information and advocate stands regarding environmental issues and concerns and aid in the improvement and preservation of the environment through projects such as Tree Banks, Zero-Styro Campaign, Biodrive etc.
